The reasons given by these TikTok creators for no longer affirming Christianity are THEIR reasons, whether we think they are GOOD ENOUGH reasons to reasonably conclude Christianity is false or not. It's important to point out where the intellectual problems reside in these objections, but these are human beings. They matter. While I hope to respond to what I consider problematic, Christians definitely need to recognize, from this, that sometimes unbelievers walk away for bad, but meaningful reasons. It may not be that these individuals provide what I consider to be intellectually powerful reasons to reject Christianity, but their reasons are still sometimes deeply personal. Christians may have the truth, but that doesn't mean we aren't often also unsympathetic, unkind or cruel. For this, WE should self-reflect.
